Just What The Doctor Ordered

KEEP LIFE IN PERSPECTIVE!

ANTARES IS THE 15TH BRIGHTEST STAR IN THE SKY. IT IS MORE THAN 1000 LIGHT YEARS AWAY.

THIS IS A HUBBLE TELESCOPE ULTRA DEEP FIELD INFRARED VIEW OF COUNTLESS 'ENTIRE' GALAXIES BILLIONS OF LIGHT-YEARS AWAY:
BELOW IS A CLOSE UP OF ONE OF THE DARKEST REGIONS OF THE PHOTO ABOVE:
KEEP LIFE IN PERSPECTIVEAND DON'T SWEAT THE SMALL STUFF!

Thanks to Adrian Mead for forwarding me that! I think most of us are guilty at sometime or another of losing sight of the notion we're ALL cogs in a gigantic machine: this is a handy little reminder it's not *all* personal when those rejections come through or projects fall into difficulties. Keep writing and keep improving!

I'm not sure whether to be consoled or deeply depressed by all of that.

If the latter, that's probably because Dr. Who's floating around in that galaxy somewhere though, right? ; )

What mean you, mortal? I am not a cog in some machine, you puny hu-mans are ants crawling on one of the globes in the orrery of my plans, and you will all play your part in my machinations, like it or not.
To speak otherwise is an affront, and will be punished by... oh dear, I think I'd better go and have a lie down.
Pretty planets, though...

And yet, bizarrely, some people believe the whole universe reorganises itself in their favour because they write fucking symbols on their hands.

Cosmic ordering?

Cosmic arse.

Reminds me of how Cadbury cream eggs have gone down the years.

Thanks for showing this, I'd buy a telescope if I had the money. Have a good one.

:o)
