Touched - Again

Well, it would seem Touch Films like the five pages of the script I sent them the other week for The Writer Development Programme in association with SW Screen; they've just called and asked me to go in for a chat next week. Informal apparently, but of course I. Am. Freaking. I mean, what do I wear that shows my screenwriterly prowess...??

You're on a lucky streak aren't you? Well done! And good luck. I'm not the best person for sartorial advice though...

When you are nervous in situations like that it is best to picture yourself naked.

No wait!

That’s not right, you should picture THEM naked.

Just don’t forget to picture your clothes back on first or who knows what could happen in a room full of naked people. You need at least one fully clothed person to keep things professional :)

Neon pink hot-pants and a "I love Jade Goody" tee-shirt.

OR - you're always very nicely turned out!!!

Chris - clearly you are perverted. You'll fit right in around these parts!!!

Dom - ah, I get. You're a SW competitor, right? Bring it on!!!

Apparently there's some sort of screenwriter fashion code about looking like a semi-casual snob. Hell, if you can get away with dressing like a member of All Saints, go for it.

I opted for style over fashion in 1983 and have been wearing black ever since. It hides a multitude of sins and saints, I find. If nothing else, I'm ready to snap into mourning at a moment's notice.

That should read smei-casual slob, not snob. I shoud put my glasses on when I type.

Lucy - when I leave the house, maybe. But that isn't often.

Lucy - when I leave the house, maybe. But that isn't often, so I can't be relied upon. The putfit Dom has destribed would be an improvement on my usual attire.

Wellies, brown trousers held up with binder twine, cream shirt with a pale brown check, piece of straw stuck in the side of your mouth, and a jug of cider under your arm.

Isn't that Westcountry sartorial elegance?

Hope it goes well.

Congratulations, and good luck. If it was me, I'd wear a cardigan.

Wear clothes that make you feel confident. Go Lucy go!

Thanks guys! : )

So, the general consensus is I should wear clothes?

Not the nipple tassles and fig leaf I planned on?

Damn, back to the drawing board...
